3 Tips To Help You Regain Your Confidence!

We all go through periods where we don’t feel fully confident or don’t quite feel ourselves, although that doesn’t mean you have to put up with it. We’re here with some simple tips to help you regain your confidence, all of which are really easy to do and you can add them into your routine today! From getting comfortable clothes like loungewear that fit you well through to moving your body to feel good, we’ve got it all covered.

Choose Clothes That Fit You Well

Firstly, one of the best things you can do to boost your confidence is choose and wear clothes that fit you well. Our clothes can have a huge positive or negative impact on our confidence, as when we wear something that fits us well and makes us feel good, it can skyrocket your confidence. The mistake many people make is choosing clothes that are slightly too small just because of the size on the label, when it can make you feel quite self conscious or uncomfortable.

Instead, forget what’s on the label and choose what fits you perfectly. As well as having a bit of a wardrobe clear out of things that don’t make you feel great, when you next go shopping, focus on choosing a few great pieces that you can wear for lots of different occasions. We’d also recommend that when you try something on, take in the size you think you are, the size below and the size above. Try them all on, so you can make an accurate decision of which one makes you feel great, rather than trying something on and forcing it even if you think it doesn’t fit quite right. Whether you’re shopping for loungewear sets or wedding guest dresses, take your time, choose pieces that make you feel good and it can transform your confidence.

Have A Social Media Detox

Next up, we’d advise that you have a social media detox. Social media is full of heavily edited photos where people are trying their hardest to show that they’re living their best life, when really, often they aren’t that happy at all. However, from the outside, we see people wearing stunning outfits, on incredible holidays, in the happiest relationships and believe everything we see. It’s so normal to see things like that and then start to question yourself, even if you do give yourself reminders that it’s not real life.

So, we’d recommend that you either have a week detox from social media and see how much better you feel, or you could go through the people you follow and if anyone doesn’t bring joy, honesty and positivity to your feed, then you could unfollow them.

Move Your Body

Last but not least, make sure to move your body. You’d be surprised at how much of a difference it can make when you take the time to move your body for you, rather than to lose weight or look a certain way. Get outside into the sun or go to the gym and just do what feels good, whether it’s a walk with a friend, a fun gym dance class or a weight lifting session listening to your favourite album.
